Professor Bill Herkelrath has spent more than 40 years in the fields of family therapy and counseling psychology. He is a recognized leader in international education and clinical training of counselors and psychologists. He has been awarded the distinction of Fellow of the American Psychological Association for outstanding contributions in the field of clinical training and education of counselors and psychologists.
As an academic dean and clinical professor , he has led teams of graduate students around the world to study issues affecting families and individuals in a variety of countries and cultures. As an ethnographic researcher, he has utilized photography to create awareness of international issues pertaining to families .
He holds a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University and a Master degree in Counseling Studies from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and has completed post-doctoral work at Palo Alto University and Harvard University. He is a member of Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society and Psi Chi National Honor Society. He is passionate about the fields of counseling and psychology.
